UDP

(User Datagram Protocol)

UDP, or User Datagram Protocol, is a core communication protocol in the Internet Protocol (IP) suite. Unlike TCP, UDP is connectionless and does not guarantee reliable delivery, making it faster but less reliable.

UDP is commonly used for applications where speed is critical, such as video streaming, online gaming, and VoIP. It is also used in DNS queries and IoT communication. While UDP lacks error-checking and retransmission features, its simplicity and low overhead make it ideal for real-time applications where occasional data loss is acceptable.
